We manage risk first and place insurance second.
Most brokers begin with a policy. We begin with your risk. Before anything is quoted, we build a clear picture of what you’re exposed to and decide, deliberately, how each risk should be handled. Insurance is one of four ways to treat a risk — and often the right move is to reduce or avoid it before we ever transfer it to a carrier.
Andrew spent his career as a risk manager before he was a broker, and the firm is built that way. The job is to lower your long-term cost of risk, and to build equity and value while we do it. Selling more premium is not the point.
Every relationship starts with a review, not a quote. We look at the whole picture, decide how each exposure should be treated, and only then talk about where a policy fits. Because we’re independent, that decision is made on the merits.
The four pillars of risk management
Acceptance
Some risks cost more to remove than they could ever cause. We name those plainly and leave them alone, so your money goes where it actually matters.
Transference
When a risk is worth moving off your balance sheet, we transfer it to a carrier for a premium. This is what insurance is for, and it’s one tool among four.
Reduction
Often the highest-return move is to make a loss less likely or less severe — a protocol, a safety program, an audit — before any policy is written.
Avoidance
Sometimes the right answer is to change the operation or the agreement so the risk never arises. We’ll tell you when that’s the case.
The Preliminary Risk Review
Every engagement begins with the review: an unhurried, written picture of where you stand, held in strict confidence, and yours to keep. It commits you to nothing, always precedes any placement work, and maps your exposures across nine domains before a single policy is discussed.

A complimentary Preliminary Risk Review is the best way to see how we work. The conversation is private and commits you to nothing.
